Nice Surprise

When I saw this, I knew I had to take a picture.

The logo reminded me of something....aha! MuneMud had a post on Jar Jar Binks Storm can! Weird that a brand that never came out of the test market has a container.

Some of My Cans

I thought it is now a good time to show you my cans. Having at least 30 cans, I'll show you some cans of interest. (Sorry for the bad photos, had to use my phone)

These two are a Coke and Sprite can with Six Flags advertisement. The Coke can was from my friend's local store, while the Sprite was at a friend’s party I attended.

This one came to me as a surprise, I didn't know that this was even a flavor! Found at the same said party.

When a friend gave me when he found it at his store, I was confused as it was 6 months since the Olympics. I concluded that the 12-pack was still being sold somewhere around there, but there is no more in my area.

This was also found at the same store near my friend. For some reason, they get cans months after they come out! That never happens here.

This was at a different party of a different friend. Can everybody else get these supposed-to-be-out-of-date cans but me?

These next two are a Mountain Dew and Pepsi with $10 off on Hershey Park. They were at the same store a week after the Coke can.

I guess I didn't know about all cherry flavored soda

This was my first can off the road! While walking I found this can, and kept it until I was able to come home and give it a really good rinse! There were even ants in there, ewww.

This is only of interest because of the design. I've seen it many times before, but by the design I thought it was alcohol. I finally looked close at it at found it was actually ginger ale!

Just so you know, every can variation I have the regular can design too.

Why Those Type of Cans?

OK, for my first post after the introduction, I thought I tell you guys why I collect the types of cans I collect. I only collect 12 fl oz. non-alcoholic beverage cans. The reason why I collect all non-alcoholic beverages is because I want to diversify what I’m looking for. Now you are probably asking “Why are you not collecting the big and small ones then?” Well, there is a very simple reason. The regular size cans already have enough brands, flavors, variations, etc. If I chose to collect big and small ones also, I would get overwhelmed. Well, now you know why I collect what I collect. If you have any questions, put in a comment.

Happy Can Hunting!

Welcome!

This is a new blog of me, a soda can collector; giving tips, experiences, and photos of my collection. I guess I should introduce myself. You guys may call me thatsodacancollector. I have not been collecting for a long time, but I've been enjoying every minute of it. I remember how it first started, I looked at a Mountain Dew can that I had drank from, and was like "Hey there a lot of different types of sodas out there, why don't I try collecting as much as I can"? I then started my collection. I have been really encouraged by collectors like MuneMud, who really love the art as much as I do. Come back at another time to see my large collection (sarcasm is on as I only have 25), and all of my tips I will find along the way.
